A couple of weekends ago we went to Demarest Farms in Hillsdale NJ, for apple picking and the pumpkin patch.
We had family from Guam, Texas, and Nevada who attended the wedding and we took them around shopping, eating, site seeing, and apple picking. In Guam, we don’t have apple trees nor do we have the four seasons.
So this would be an awesome experience for them since here in New Jersey, we do have the four seasons, so we wanted them to experience it as well. Parking from the farm was far, but they had busses taking people from the parking lot to the farm.
The bus drops us off a few feet from the farmers market parking lot, which had tons of people. They also had animals, decorations, flowers, and a line to purchase the tickets. It was packed and we weren’t at the orchard’s yet. You had to get on a hay ride to get to the orchard’s.

After taking a few pictures, we got on the hay ride and made our way to the orchard’s. We always enjoy the hay ride, especially the kids. During the hay ride we see the haunted maze display, it was set up along the route which was pretty cool.

We reached the orchard’s and pumpkin patch. From there we took pictures and the kids played on the pirate ship, John deer playground, and the tiny houses around the pumpkin patch.
My son probably had the most fun playing with the other children there. He really enjoyed the pirate ship and the tiny houses. He enjoys meeting new kids and makes friends easily.
Here are some pictures at the Demarest Farms…

It was a fun filled time with the family and we enjoyed every minute of it. It’s always good times with good company. It was a nice day out and a great way to spend the fall season.
