Volunteering at the book fair

Every year my wife volunteers to help out at our kids elementary school, book fair. This year she was asked again to help, but this time she asked me to help as well.

I agreed and helped with the book fair. The things I do for my wife and kids…lol! It’s always a pleasure to help out whenever I can, I don’t mind doing it.

It was fun seeing my daughter at school and helping my son pick out a book to buy. It also feels great doing volunteer work for town. I know my kids enjoyed seeing us help at there school.

Here are some pics of the book fair.

If you have extra time on your hands, I suggest volunteering your time to help out your child/children’s school. The kids love seeing their parents help, I know our kids did! Who knows you might enjoy it so much, you’ll volunteer more of your time.

Wherever you turn, you can find someone who needs you. Even if it is a little thing, do something for which there is no pay but the privilege of doing it. Remember, you don’t live in the world all of your own.”

  1. Oh, this brings back memories, I volunteered so much at the school, the kids all thought I worked there. I still see some of my kids elementary school classmates and they wave or talk to me. I just enjoyed that time of my life so much. Once they hit middle school, no more volunteering. I would not change a thing about all the time I put in with them. I miss those days!
